Inspired by the 100 Day Project, Viola Sutanto started sketching daily when her daughter was hospitalized. During the biggest fight of her life, her daughter, Maika managed to find something to be happy about every single day. Drawing these little moments of positivity became their North Star, each moment a sliver of hope that she and her family could look forward to when she came home.

This book is a tribute to the medical team at the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital in Oakland, where Viola’s daughter was treated for bone marrow failure. A portion of all proceeds will be donated to support their incredible work.
